Law Technology

Welcome to the IT Department at the Duquesne University School of Law. The Department provides support for faculty/staff technology needs, as well as management of classroom technology, website, SharePoint, computer labs and printing.

Requests for A/V Setups, Website & SharePoint changes can be requested using this online form (you will be prompted for your Multipass username/password).

Student Technology Information

The School of Law currently does not require students to bring their own laptop although the vast majority do (with a mix of Macs & PCs).  The Law School has wireless internet connectity throughout the building and connection instructions can be found here. Students wishing to utilize the Laptop Exam Option must provide their own laptop computer.

Law Library (DCLI) Computers

There are computers for student use on all three floors of the Law Library.

All computers have:

  • Windows 7 operating system,
  • Microsoft Office 2010 Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • CD-Writers installed

Electrical Outlets

If you plan to bring your own laptop, you will be happy to find that every seat in the Library is equipped with an electrical outlet.

Printers

The Law Library has a number of Laser Printers for students to use. Students are currently allocated up to 3,000 pages per year at no charge. Additional information can be found here.
