Final Exam Day

Please read carefully the following information.  Understanding these steps will help insure a successful laptop exam process.

Each exam - start from with a fresh bootup (power completely OFF before you start, not just opening the laptop lid or restart)

1.  Plan to arrive at the examination room at least 15 mins. early.  Connect your laptop to a power outlet using your power adapter (if you do not have a power adapter, you will not be allowed to take the exam using a laptop).

2. Check once more that your power settings never turn off the display and your computer will not hibernate.  See Power Management for instructions.

3.  Initialize the software and select your exam.  DO NOT TYPE "BEGIN" until you are instructed to do so by the proctor.

4.  Focus on your answers.  Do not waist time adjusting software features.  The Proctor will be giving time instructions.

If you experience any problems with your laptop during an exam (laptop freezes, there are error messages, you can't type, etc), you MUST inform the proctor.

If a reboot does not solve the laptop problem, you will be given a bluebook to continue your exam.  Make sure you write your complete Exam ID on the front cover.

Your exams are saved every 60 seconds and the recovery file will be matched to your bluebook and assembled in the Registrar's office after the exam.

DO NOT LEAVE THE EXAM AREA BEFORE RECEIVING THE GREEN CONFIRMATION PAGE.

If you experience problems with the file upload, technical support is provided in Room 304 during the exam period.
