3rd Biennial Philosophy of Communication Conference: The Catholic Intellectual Tradition

The 2017 3rd Biennial Philosophy of Communication Conference's four content areas were: (1) Philosophy of Communication and Narrative Ground, (2) Philosophy of Communication, History, and Institutions, (3) Philosophy of Communication and Community, and (4) Philosophy of Communication, Culture, and Mission.

The conference featured an invited speaker for each area:

  • Algis Mickunas, Ohio University, the second recipient of the Richard L. Lanigan Philosophy of Communication Award: Philosophy of Communication and Community

  • Christopher Lutz, Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana: Philosophy of Communication and Narrative Ground

  • Fr. Francis Njoku, University of Nigeria, Nuskka: Philosophy of Communication, Culture, and Mission

  • Janie Harden Fritz, Duquesne University: Philosophy of Communication, History, and Institutions
