Double Majors

Political science makes a great double major!

For the double majors below, some courses double-count.

Political Science and International Relations (IR) majors

Political Science majors complete 30 credits and double-count IR 245 for POSC 245.

International Relations majors complete 36 credits and double-count POSC 245 for IR 245.

Political Science and Economics (Econ) majors

Political Science majors complete 30 credits and double-count Econ 453 as a substitute for any 3-credit elective other than the political science capstone (400-level) course.

Economics majors complete 30 credits and double-count POSC 292W as a substitute for any Economics elective.

Political Science and Communication & Rhetorical Study (C&RS) majors

Political Science majors complete 30 credits double-count COMM 406 as a substitute for any 3-credit elective other than the political science capstone (400-level) course.

C&RS majors complete 30 credits pursuant to these rules and double-count any six political science credits as a substitute for six Communication elective courses.
