Christian-Muslim Dialogue Committee Lecture Series Fall 2015

The Christian-Muslim Dialogue Committee (CMDC) invites you and your students to a series of lectures to be held monthly, beginning in September. The broad theme of the lectures is "Religion and Society". The event is in collaboration with Turkish Cultural Center of Pittsburgh (TCCP).
The inaugural lecture will be given by Professor Nick Cafardi of the Law School. The date is September 16. Please mark your calendars and encourage your students to attend.
Looking ahead, the lecture in October is titled "Mary in the Quran" and the final lecture for fall semester will be in November with focus on the use of music in Christianity and Islam.
TCCP will provide the snacks for refreshment at all the lectures. If you love Turkish Baklava please come with a good appetite.

WIFT: World Issues in Theology Forum
The World Issues in Theology Forum is a faculty colloquium that meets several times per semester to discuss the concerns that arise in our world in terms of their impact on and creation of theologies. The primary goal of the Forum is to privilege texts/ events/ situations that enhance our understanding of the world together with philosophical/ religious/ theological reflections that might help to guide and expand our own reflections.
