2018 Human Rights Film Series

Thanks for Attending!

The University's 2018 Human Rights Film Series, organized by the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures, was once again a great success, drawing large crowds of students, faculty and members of the general public.  After each film, the audience was able to engage in insightful dialog with experts on a variety of timely human rights issues.  Here Andrew Van Treek, Refugee & Immigrant Volunteer Coordinator for Jewish Family and Community Services, discusses volunteering opportunities to assist his organization with the resettlement of refugees in the Pittsburgh region, following the screening of Al Weiwei's award-winning film, Human Flow.

Hope to see you at next year's series in January-February 2019!
