M.A. in Communication and M.A. in Pastoral Ministry
The Communication & Rhetorical Studies Program and the Pastoral Ministry programs have created a plan of study that allows you to receive a degree in both programs after completing a 54-credit curriculum. You may choose a joint M.A. in:
- Corporate Communication and Pastoral Ministry
- Rhetoric & Philosophy of Communication and Pastoral Ministry
Students who wish to combine studies in pastoral ministry with communication may enroll in the dual MA. Students must apply concurrently to each sponsoring department to be considered for the dual MA. Separate guidelines are available through Pastoral Ministry (email@example.com, or phone 412-396-6528) and through the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies (phone 412-396-6446). Prospective students should also consult general Theology MA requirements at www.duq.edu/theology.
To be eligible for this dual degree program, you must apply separately to the Department of Communication & Rhetorical Studies and the Theology Department graduate programs. You must be accepted by both programs, and must declare your intent to pursue this dual academic program at the time of application to Duquesne University. You cannot transfer into this joint degree program following acceptance into another program of study. Advisors are available in the Department of Communication & Rhetorical Studies and the Theology Department to provide you with guidance and advice on each program.
