Hi. My name is Dr. Evan Stoddard, and I'm associate dean of the College—have been for over 15 years. I stay because this is a wonderful place. I love the friendliness of Duquesne University and the freedom and variety of the liberal arts. I'm convinced the liberal arts give students the best possible preparation for productive lives of service in a changing world.
Interesting Facts about Me
I live in South Side and walk across a bridge and up a long set of steps each day I come to work.
- I have a wonderful wife, six talented children (including two Duquesne liberal arts grads), ten perfect grandchildren, and a cat. (Well, actually, the cat's my wife's.)
- I've been associate dean to six different deans in my time at Duquesne.
- I teach a course in the Honors College most every spring called Community and University, in which students research a community near Duquesne and work with community partners to address some important need.
- I oversee the College's learning communities.
I look forward to meeting you if you visit or come to school at the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts at Duquesne!
