Organs, "Sacred Space"

Duquesne is home to one of the nation's most prestigious programs in sacred music. Organ students enjoy excellent mentoring and job placement and have access to a Schlicker tracker organ that once belonged to Paul Manz, two Moeller practice organs, a three-manual solid state Moeller studio recently enlarged by Peter Luley, and a three-manual Aeolian-Skinner organ enhanced and rebuilt by Peter Luley. Most recently a new three-manual tracker organ by Jaeckel, Inc. from Duluth, Minnesota has been built for the Duquesne Chapel of the Holy Spirit, where sacred music students regularly perform for liturgies and recitals. Students also have access to a variety of superior organs throughout the Pittsburgh region.
