Paws on the Bluff Successful

Adobe Spark Page

Thanks to the Duquesne community and those who graciously supported and donated to Paws on the Bluff, we were able to make a very large donation to Animal Friends. Below is a comprehensive list of everything included in our donation:

  • 254 lbs. of dog food
  • 105 lbs. of cat food
  • 63 bags/boxes of dog treats
  • 7 bags of cat treats
  • Dozens of toys, collars, and leashes
  • $500 in financial donations

Seth Beckman, Dean of the Mary Pappert School of Music and Animal Friends Board Member, co-chaired the Paws on the Bluff event alongside former Student Government Association President, James Daher. Along with other Duquesne faculty, staff, and students, Paws on the Bluff ran from September 23–30, providing various drop-off locations around campus, events, and online donation opportunities for those who wished to support.

Beckman offered some final thoughts on this year's drive, saying, "We are so grateful for the support of everyone who contributed to this very worthy cause. Your contributions not only help animals, but also their families, providing much-needed support to people who may not be able to care for both their animals and themselves. That is a true embodiment of the Duquesne mission of community engagement and helping others."

Special thanks to the Paws on the Bluff Planning Committee for their hard work to make this a successful endeavor:
