Pittsburgh High School Honors Recital

The Mary Pappert School of Music would like to congratulate and thank all of the students who performed in the Pittsburgh High School Honors Recital this past Friday. The concert showcased six local high school musicians from five local high schools and was wonderfully recieved by all those in attendance.

Jake Lisak, percussion, from Bethel Park High School, performed Prelude No. 1 by Ney Rousaro. Two students from the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School participated, including Michael Frontz and Jim Cunningham IV. Mr. Frontz, cello, performed three movements from J.S. Bach's Suite No. 2 for Cello in D Minor. Mr. Cunningham, viola, performed Lament for Two Violas by Frank Bridge with Devin Moore from Chartiers Valley High School. From Serra Catholic High School, Nathan Pallotta, piano, performed Transcendental Etude by Franz Liszt. The concert was concluded with a performance by Fox Chapel High School student Timothy Sutton, cello, who performed one movement from Franz Joseph Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 2 in D Major.

Once again, thank you to all students and participating schools!
