Post Master's Certificates

School of Nursing Fact Sheet

Post-Master's Certificates provide nurses with Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degrees an opportunity to acquire specialized skills that may not have been offered in their master's degree programs. These programs are only offered online and range from 24 to 34 credits. Choose from the Family (Individual Across the Lifespan) Nurse Practitioner, Forensic Nursing or Nursing Education and Faculty Role programs.

Most of the post-master's certificate programs prepare nurses for formal certification by professional organizations; however, it is the students' responsibility to ensure that certification criteria are met.

Mandatory Orientation

All new Post-Master's students must attend a mandatory orientation on campus, usually in May.
