Post Master's Certificates

School of Nursing Fact Sheet

Post-Master's Certificates provide nurses with Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degrees an opportunity to acquire specialized skills that may not have been offered in their master's degree programs. These programs are only offered online and range from 24 to 33 credits. Choose from the four programs on the left navigation for more information about each program.

Most of the post-master's certificate programs prepare nurses for formal certification by professional organizations; however, it is the students' responsibility to ensure that certification criteria are met.

Mandatory Orientation

All new Post-Master's students must attend a mandatory orientation on campus May 6 and 7, 2013.

PROGRAM CHANGE

As of November 1, 2012 Duquesne University School of Nursing will not be admitting new students into the Nursing Education or the Transcultural/International Nursing Post-Master's Certificates Programs for the 2013-14 academic year.

APPLICATION ALERT

Due to higher education regulation changes, effective August 1, 2011, Duquesne University is unable to accept applications for admission to online programs and courses from students residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Wisconsin. For questions, please contact Paul-James Cukanna in the Office of Admissions at 412.396.5002 or grademg@duq.edu.
