Spend the Month of May 'Doing Business' in Beijing, China. . .
Duquesne University Palumbo Donohue School of Business is offering a 2015 Maymester Program in Beijing, China. This program gives you the opportunity to study economics and supply chain management in Beijing, one of the global economy's most important cities!
- 6 credits will be enhance by lectures from BJTU professors and you will have the opportunity
- Visit local and multinational companies such as Lenovo and Hyundai.
- See the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square,
- Climb the Great Wall of China
- Walk through the Summer Palace and
- Ride a bullet train to Tianjin.
- Capacity is 24 students maximum (Will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.)
- All Must be clear of any outstanding academic or disciplinary actions
During this four week program, students will take two courses and earn six credits:
ECON 342 Global Economic Perspectives
(Satisfies: Global Diversity)
The principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics will be used analyze current global economic events. BJTU professors will discuss the structure of the Chinese economy in detail as well as China's important position within the global economy.
SCMG 267 Supply Chain and Opporational Managament
This course introduces the role of Supply Chain Management (SCM) in linking business activity from supplier's supplier to customer's customer. BJTU professors will provide great insights related to sourcing materials or subcontracting production to Chinese manufacturers as well as the logistics challenges of moving goods throughout China.
**Students will take two courses and earn six (6) credits. If you have already taken one of these courses, you can earn credit for IBUS342 Study Abroad for 3-6 credits.

Students on the Duquesne's Maymester program spend 4 weeks abroad while earning 6 university credits. The following outlines the program costs:
