Freshman Advisement Summer Transition (FAST)

July 12 to 15, 2011

Ease your transition to life as a new student at Duquesne University by spending a day on campus at the FAST program.

All new students, particularly those in the local Pittsburgh area, are invited. This program is not mandatory. Please attend one of the two days offered for your prospective school. Register by July 8.

Limited housing is available on campus in Vickroy Hall.  Contact the Vickroy Hall office at 412-396-4211 to make reservations.  Suite style rooms are available for $8.00 per person, and can be paid upon check in.  For hotel accommodations within walking distance, please click here.

Free parking in Forbes Garage. Each student can bring up to two guests. Maps and directions.

At FAST, you can:

• Meet your academic advisor
• Learn about health services, financial aid, tuition deferment, safety, security and student activities. 
• Get your student ID photo taken
• Set up your student bank account
• Order or purchase books and computer
• Connect with future classmates
• Take language placement exams
• Test out of the UCOR030 Challenge Exam
