Honors for Our Partnerships

For the fifth consecutive year, Duquesne was named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in recognition of its commitment to volunteering, service learning and civic engagement. The 2010 list also marks the University's second consecutive year to receive the recognition of Honor Roll with Distinction (along with only 113 other universities), which notes exemplary programs and levels of student involvement,

Curricular Engagement

Curricular Engagement describes teaching, learning and scholarship which engage faculty, students and community in mutually beneficial and respectful collaboration. Their interactions:

  • address community-identified needs
  • deepen students' civic and academic learning
  • enhance community well-being, and
  • enrich the scholarship of the institution.

Outreach and Partnerships

Outreach and Partnerships focuses on:

  • using institutional resources for community use with benefits to both campus and community.
  • collaborative interactions for mutually beneficial applications of knowledge, research, economic development and resources.
