Important Pennsylvania Legal Resources
DCLI/ACLL maintains an extensive collection of Pennsylvania Legal Research publications. Did you know the following resources are also available via free internet sites?
Purdon's Statutes
DCLI/ACLL's collection includes Purdon's Statutes. The Pennsylvania General Assembly offers a link to the Unofficial Purdon's from West. However, this online version is not annotated.
Access to unofficial PA statutes is possible, due to an agreement between Thomson West and the Pennsylvania Legislative Reference Bureau. To access the resource, go to the Pennsylvania General Assembly site located at http://www.legis.state.pa.us, and under Law Information, select the Unofficial Purdon's Pennsylvania Statutes from West link.
The Pennsylvania Code
The following description is from the Pennsylvania Code web site:
The Pennsylvania Code website reflects the Pennsylvania Code changes effective through 39 Pa.B. 398 (January 17, 2009).
Information included at this site has been derived directly from the Pennsylvania Code, the Commonwealth's official publication of rules and regulations.
Pennsylvania Bulletin
The following description is from the Pennsylvania Bulletin web site:
The information included at this site has been derived directly from the Pennsylvania Bulletin, the Commonwealth's official gazette for information and rulemaking. We have developed this site so that the latest published information may be accessed every Friday at 9 a.m. EDT, the first moment that the information may be furnished to the public.
The Pennsylvania Bulletin Online includes the following: Statewide and local court rules; the Governor's Proclamations and Executive Orders; Actions by the General Assembly; Rulemakings by State agencies; Proposed Rulemakings by State agencies; and State agency notices.
Don't forget to check Westlaw and Lexis for additional online Pennsylvania secondary resources.

Appellate.net
This site features Supreme Court and Appellate cases handled by Mayer Brown's Attorneys. Students seeking sample briefs will find this resource especially useful. Users can view briefs by Author, Subject-Matter, or Pro Bono Cases. The site's Oral Argument page provides "links to the transcripts of these arguments, audio feeds of the arguments, and briefs in the cases." The "Appellate Court" page provides links to Official Appellate Court sites in one easy-to-browse location. The site provides the following information about the group:
Mayer Brown's more than 60 appellate lawyers have argued approximately 200 cases before the Supreme Court-including ten in the three most recent Terms-as well as hundreds more in federal and state appellate courts across the nation.
We are ranked as the top appellate practice in the country by both Legal 500 United States and Chambers USA 2007.
