Upcoming CLE: Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Working with Forensic Experts
Presented by The Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law
Friday, Sept. 16
1 - 4:30 P.M.
Rockwell Hall, Room 505/506
In this inaugural seminar of the Fall 2011 Forensic Fridays series, criminal defense attorney Caroline Roberto and forensic scientific experts Dr. Cyril Wecht and Dr. Fred Fochtman will discuss the ins and outs of the attorney/forensic expert working relationship. Beginning with a case study of a recently adjudicated homicide that revolved around forensic scientific testimony, the instructors will move on to discuss such matters as determining what types of experts a case requires and understanding the rules guiding the use of scientific experts and evidence in court. This program will be useful to a wide variety of practicing criminal, civil and family attorneys, as well as to experts themselves and others in possession of specialized areas of knowledge.
This seminar is approved by the PA CLE Board for two (2) hours of substantive credit and one (1) hour of ethics credit.
For more information or to register, please visit www.duq.edu/forensics or contact the Wecht Institute at 412-396-1330 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to inquire about package deals and group discounts.
