"Islamic Law"
Presented by Professor Susan Hascall
This CLE will introduce the attendees to Islamic law through discussion of classical jurisprudence. Substantive topics will include a short discussion of family law and commercial law in both classical and modern contexts.
The course has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for three (3) hours of substantive law, practice and procedure CLE credit and zero (0) hour of ethics, professionalism or substance abuse credit. Transporting People with Disabilities
Dr. Linda Van Roosmalen will provide an overview of the best practices and voluntary standards and regulations pertaining to transporting people with disabilities. The course will use case examples in which individuals were negligently injured while being transported. Participants will be provided with a framework to help investigate and litigate cases involving people with disabilities that use public transportation or ride in emergency vehicles.
