DCLI Instructional Session-Cost Effective Research on Lexis and Westlaw

On Wednesday, March 12, DCLI will sponser a "Cost Effective Research" demonstration using Westlaw and Lexis for upper class students. The session will be held in Room 203 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Please sign-up at the DCLI circulation desk. Lunch will be served!

DCLI Virtual Reference Service

The Center is pleased to offer our virtual reference service to the law school community. DCLI "E-Mail Reference" allows Law School faculty, staff and students to e-mail reference questions to a law librarian. The reference inquiries will then be carefully reviewed and answered.

Upcoming Event- Hugo L. Black Law Clinic Open House

The Hugo L. Black Law Clinic will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday March 18, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the clinic office in Room 632 Fisher Hall. Students attending the open house will have the opportunity to talk to current student attorneys and supervising attorneys about the various clinics and the work they perform. LegalTrac is a subscription database available free to Duquesne Law School students and faculty through the DCLI/ACLL website. Students and faculty can access LegalTrac from home by simply using their Duquesne ID information. LegalTrac offers indexing for over 800 major law reviews, legal newspapers, specialty law publications, bar association journals, and thousands of law-related articles from general interest publications. The interface provides basic, subject guide, publication, and advanced search information retrieval options. Titles with full-text holdings may be identified by searching SOLCAT by title.
