Valuation issues in divorce cases in bad economic times can be challenging for a number of reasons. Sometimes the economy is a legitimate factor, but sometimes business owners are trying to take advantage of the economic climate to suppress business value or to show reduced income. In other cases, litigant business owners simply may not have the "drive" to produce such data due to the emotional turmoil of the divorce. Join divorce attorney Candice Komar, economist Matthew Marlin, and accountant Melissa A. Bizyak to learn which industries are truly struggling, which are clearly not, and how such evidence can and does play out in divorce litigation today.

This program is approved by the PA CLE Board for two (2) Substantive hrs. and one (1) Ethics hr.
 In addition, three (3) CPE credits are available in the accounting/finance field.

Upcoming CLE Luncheon in Memory of Dean Scuillo

This site began as a graduate “open source” project at Berkley School of Information. The site aims to provide a “free and competitive real time alert tool for the U.S. Judicial System.” Currently, Court Listener posts daily updates of all precedential opinions from the federal circuit courts and U.S. Supreme Court. The Court Listener database is updated each day by 5:10 pm, and sends alerts to dlist members shortly thereafter. As an open source project, the site welcomes input from visitors regarding any necessary corrections or errors, but also encourages contributions. CL offers both a basic and advanced search engine for users to navigate the site. The “browsing” feature provides links to content by court and by recent documents. These and other features make Court Listener a valuable resource for anyone interested in conducting free federal case law research.
