Attention Students! Important Laptop Exam Message

The Practice Period for taking your final exams on your laptop
is now over. If you did not take the practice exam, you willreceive an e-mail confirming your choice to take exams with blue books and no
further action is required. If you feel that you did complete the
practice exam and you received this e-mail, please contact Milan Komljenovic, Manager of Information Technology (412-396-5533, komljeno@duq.edu, Room 128) immediately.

Students using laptops for exams

MUST STILL COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS :

Between 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec 1 and Before your first exam period.

STEP 1 : For Windows - Run Securexam Student and select the option to Get Exams and Licenses

For MAC:

Run Get Exams and Licenses application.

This will download information about your exams to your computer.

*** If you do not complete this step, you will not have a list of exams that are available for you to take during the finals period. ***

STEP 2 : Review and understand the test taking procedure and policy at:

You may want to print out these instructions to review before any exam. Remember, limited technical help will be available only during exam periods. You and your laptop need to be ready well before the exam period starts.

DCLI Group Study Room Policy

There are eight study rooms available for group study purposes. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Keys are signed out at the Circulation Desk only to current Duquesne law students with valid DU ID cards. Students may use these rooms, for group study only, in blocks of two hours (with one renewal). The rooms may also be reserved up to one day in advance, by filling out the study room sheet at the Circulation Desk or by calling 412-396-5017. The Center would like to wish all School of Law students good luck on your exams!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BELONGINGS UNATTENDED, ESPECIALLYLAPTOP COMPUTERS, WALLETS, AND PURSES. VALUABLE ITEMS, SUCH AS THESE, HAVE BEEN REPORTED STOLEN IN THE PAST. THE ONSET OF EXTENDED EXAMS HOURS AT DCLI, AND SUBSEQUENT INCREASED NUMBER OF PEOPLE USING THE CENTER, REQUIRES EXTRA VIGILANCE REGARDING YOUR VALUABLES.

IF YOU OBSERVE SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR, PLEASE REPORT IT TO

THE LIBRARIAN ON DUTY.

Reminder: DCLI Exam Hours

Extended hours of operation for exams are Monday, November 30 - Thursday, December 17. The Center will be open 8 a.m. - 2 a.m., Monday through Sunday, during this period. Also, DCLI will be open

on Tuesday, December 8, the Immaculate Conception holy day.
