Certificate in Financial Planning Students


Greetings! 

I am Dr. Erroline Williams and as Director of the Executive Certificate in Financial Planning, I welcome you to the Program.

The CFP program is designed for professionals in the financial industry, including individuals who are preparing to sit for the national CFP Board exam, those who are looking to advance their career, or individuals who are changing careers.

The CFP program, been offered since 2002, with over 300 graduates and has remained a strong educational experience for individuals in the region.  However, in addition to gaining the skills of the financial services industry, students learn from their peers, and can take advantage of the opportunity to network and build relationships.

As your Director, I am always available to provide support in any way needed as you complete the program.

Our faculty are all local to the region and experts in their field and provide the high level of quality education needed to complete the Certificate.  If you miss a class or an exam, or are having any specific difficulty with the program, you can easily reach out to faculty members for their support.

We are here to make your experience memorable and enjoyable through these 9 months of coursework.

I am delighted to host the Orientation, held at the first class session for each cohort, to share pertinent information and benefits as a result of being part of the Duquesne community.

At the end of each program, we hold a Graduation Celebration with refreshments for you to enjoy.

Also, I am very excited about the CFP Alumni Community, whereby as a graduate of the Program, you have the opportunity to reunite with past students, and your faculty members, through our Newsletter, and various events.  The Alumni Community was instituted three years ago and we are eager to continue its success.

One of which is the annual CFP Alumni Event.  In the past, we have had wonderful feedback from students who enjoyed reconnecting with one another in a casual atmosphere here on campus along with hors d'oeuvres, music, and wonderful engagement for all.
