Thesis and Dissertation Proposals

After consultation with your director, reader, or department, submit your approved thesis or dissertation proposal to the Graduate School Office, 215 College Hall.

The proposal should contain:

  • Signature page for a thesis or dissertation proposal, signed by the chair or center director, the thesis or dissertation director, and at least one additional reader for theses and two for dissertations
  • Statement of the problem to be investigated
  • Present status of the problem
  • Suggested methodology
  • Selected bibliography

You must be registered for either one or more classes or for continuous registration in the semester you submit your proposal.
