Car Rental Insurance

For domestic travel for University business, you should decline auto insurance offered by the rental agency because rental insurance is covered by the University's insurance policy.

  • To obtain a University insurance card call Genny Hughes at extension 6677.
  • If you use a personal credit card for payment, you will still be covered under the University's policy

MasterCard MasterRental Insurance

For foreign Travel for University business - you must purchase insurance through the rental agency.

  • The University's insurance policy does not cover vehicle rentals in foreign countries.   
  • This includes Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
