Access to Employment Personnel Files
Under Pennsylvania Law, current employees have the right to examine certain material in their personnel file including: salary and fringe benefits information, payroll deduction, attendance records, commendation letters, disciplinary action notices, and evaluation of job performance.
Material not available for examination includes: letters of reference, any medical records, any documents dealing with civil, criminal or grievance procedures, and any records related to criminal investigations.
Employees desiring to examine their personnel file may download the Personnel File Access Request Form and send to the Office of Human Resource Management. The form is also available by contacting the Office of Human Resource Management at (412) 396-6575 or by email at hr.office@duq.edu.
Lead time is needed to process the request.
