Freshman Grade Monitoring

  • Freshman grades are monitored throughout the student's first two semesters.
  • Freshmen are connected with resources to improve their academics, which include:
    • Study Skills
    • Tutoring
    • Career Exploration
    • Advising

Mentor Program

  • Under the Mentor Program, new students are assigned to a member of Duquesne's faculty, staff or administration who will assist them in their transition.
  • Mentors are available to answer questions, and share information about academics, campus organizations, entertainment and University life, especially during their first two months at the University.

Support Services Fair

Every September, the Office of Freshman Development coordinates the Support Services Fair. Students have the opportunity to meet with representatives of Health Services, Public Safety, Counseling Center, Computer and Technology Services and many other support services.
