Marie Milie Jones is a graduate of Duquesne University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and its School of Law.  She currently serves her alma mater as the Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, after having been a member and Vice-Chair of the Board. Ms. Jones is a founding partner of JonesPassodelis, PLLC, a boutique litigation firm in Pittsburgh. Her practice focuses on the areas of employment and civil rights law in both the private and public sectors. Ms. Jones is an experienced trial attorney handling administrative agency proceedings and litigation in federal and state courts. She also provides clients with risk management services in her practice areas.

Formerly, Ms. Jones was an equity member and the managing partner of Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck, PLLC. She is a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers, past President of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, a member of the Defense Research Institute and Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and is involved in many bar activities and organizations. Ms. Jones was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since its publication in Pennsylvania from 2004 through 2011 (including a feature article in 2005). Ms. Jones also serves as a member of the Board of Regents of St. Vincent Seminary.

Ms. Jones has received numerous awards including the St. Thomas More Award, the Susan B. Anthony Award from the Women's Bar Association of Western PA, was named an Oakland Catholic Leading Lady, named the Friend of County Government by the County Commissioners Association of PA and inducted into the Century Club of Distinguished Alumni of Duquesne University. She is a member of St. Kilian Parish in Cranberry Township, PA and is married to Cameron Jones, owner of the Northland Ford dealership in Zelienople, PA.

Regalia (Caps and Gowns)

Graduates must wear appropriate caps and gowns at all academic ceremonies.  Orders may be placed online at Herff Jones or by contacting the Duquesne Bookstore.  A quantity of caps and gowns will be available in store for purchase starting March 15, 2012.

No tickets are required to attend the University Commencement or the Diploma Ceremonies, but students must RSVP online »

Diploma Distribution

Diplomas are not automatically mailed to students.  Graduates must provide their diploma handling instructions.
