What is the difference between H1N1 flu and other types of flu?
Unlike seasonal flu, which usually strikes elderly people the hardest, the H1N1 flu virus has mostly targeted teenagers and young adults.
What are the symptoms?
This flu comes on much more quickly than the common cold, has more severe symptoms, and typically lasts 3 to 5 days.
Symptoms can include any of the following:
- Fever -- above 100 o
- Cough and chills or sore throat
- Runny nose
- Body aches
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
(Signs of fever include feeling very warm, having a flushed appearance, sweating or shivering.)
