Educated first at Jilin University in China, Dr. Li received his doctoral degree from Rice University. Before coming to the United States, Dr. Li worked as a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing. He is the author of China's America: The Chinese View the United States, 1900-2000, which is selected by the Choice magazine as one of the Top 25 Academic Books for 2011. Dr. Li came to Duquesne University in 2002.
