Students Who Have Applied Only
What happens once you have applied?
Step #1: Receive a Provisional Admission OR a Place on the Waitlist
Provisional Admission:
Once your application is received by the Office of International Programs, you will receive an email stating that you are “provisionally admitted” to study at the Italian Campus. “Provisional admission” means that you are subject to the following conditions:
- Depositing $950 by the deadline (March 1 for Fall; Sept. 1 for Spring).
- Have at least a minimum GPA of 2.75.*
- Receive Resident Life clearance from the Student Life office.*
*Only students who have deposited will be subject to these reviews.
Waitlist:
Applications are accepted until the campus is full. However, not all provisionally accepted students deposit, and not all deposited students are cleared to attend. Waitlisted students often get the opportunity to attend, so it is worthwhile to apply even when you end up on the waitlist. Once the deposit deadline has passed, the OIP will have a better sense of whether waitlisted students will have a chance to go.
Step #2: Receive a Detailed Package about the Program (including deposit instructions)
February 1st for Fall Semester
August 1st for Spring Semester
Available for pick-up in the OIP or mailed to your home.
Step #3: Deposit by the Deadline
Your deposit will assure you a place in the program subject to meeting the GPA and Residence Life review. Your deposit is fully refundable if you do not pass these reviews.
Deposits for the Fall 2012 Semester can be made in person by check payable to Duquesne University (submit to Kim in 601 Union) or online.
