Graduate Assistantships
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available. They are assigned on a competitive base to full-time graduate students. Graduate Assistants are hired in three areas; assisting with faculty research, teaching assistants and working in administrative office.
Graduate assistant receive up to 9 credits of tuition remission per semester and a stipend/semester, excluding the summer semester. The deadlines for applying for a graduate assistantship are March 15th for Fall semester and October 15th for the Spring semester.
Appointments, which are made after the applicant has been accepted for admission, are for a period of one semester. Reappointments are made for subsequent semesters based upon demonstrated competence and satisfactory academic performance. Graduate Assistants must maintain an overall grade point average of 3.50.
