Equipment

The department has a variety of equipment available for student checkout for projects, including video cameras, still cameras, audio recording equipment, and tripods. Students will be required to complete a form and bring their student ID to reserve and checkout equipment. Equipment must be picked up and returned during posted hours.

Labs

The department has two primary labs available for use - 205 College Hall and 345 College Hall. Both labs use Dell PCs running up to date software (including the Adobe CS suite).

The 205 Lab can be accessed after class hours on a 24-hour basis using your ID card. To gain access to the lab, you must complete the form and give to Sally Richie in 341 College Hall. It usually takes two weeks for your card to become activated on the door.

Additionaly, the department has a Mac lab available for student use.

The 205 lab also makes use of a MediaSite recording system, allowing users to view the class live or later.

Card Access

The College Hall 205 Lab has a card swipe for use with your Duquesne ID. Each semester the door is reset. To gain access to the lab, you will need to provide your Duquesne ID Card number during the first week of class to your instructor, or bring your card to Sally Richie at 341 College Hall.
