Duquesne University's Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program is registered with Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards Inc. to fulfill the education requirements of the CFP® certification.* The program is designed for professionals in the financial field as well as career changers.
Earn Your Certificate in 9 Months
Upon successful completion of Duquesne University's Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program, students will receive a certificate of completion from Duquesne University. Students who successfully complete the certificate program will be eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
Graduates of the program may receive three academic credits towards a graduate degree in the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement.

The Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program is approved:
- by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Insurance Department to award continuing education insurance credits in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Continuing Education Program
- with the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy to award continuing education credits for CPAs (Certified Public Accounts)
