Visitor Policy
The primary users of the Gumberg Library are the students, faculty, administration and staff of Duquesne University and Vincentian Academy.
Limited access is provided to:
- Alumni
- Visiting scholars
- Faculty and students of other colleges and universities
- Members of general public engaged in library research
Precedence is given to Duquesne students, faculty, and staff in the use of all library facilities, services, and resources at all times.
Visitors are expected to use the library for research and study during designated hours.
Any visitor may be asked to show ID at any time.
Visitors’ computer use is restricted to designated computers. Visitors must have a current Guest Computer Access form on file at the Circulation Desk before using a computer.
Visitors under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by an adult.
Gumberg Library reserves the right to withhold privileges or to withdraw them if they are abused.
Lewd, indecent, or disruptive behavior, theft, and using a computer to view pornography, are examples of abuses which will result in withdrawal of library privileges.
