The possibilities of cultural activities both on and off campus are endless! Pittsburgh’s cultural district, located nearby in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, regularly features plays, musicals, symphonies, ballet, concerts and so much more. The city is also rich with museums of science, art, fascinating history and remarkable artifacts.
Students do not have to venture far to experience the arts at Duquesne, as some of Pittsburgh’s most popular performances happen right on campus:
- The Duquesne University Tamburitzans, America's longest-running multicultural song and dance company, is a unique ensemble of talented young folk artists (and full-time students) dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs, and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring folk cultures
- From theater companies to musical assemblies, Duquesne is home to many Music & Performance Organizations that are sure to entertain
