RHA is a great way to get involved in the campus community and help make Duquesne University a great place to live. With programs and activities that build community, resident-centered advocacy initiatives, and leadership development opportunities, RHA is one of the most resourceful organizations on campus along with the Duquesne Program Council (DPC), Commuter Council, and the Student Government Association (SGA).
While making Duquesne feel like your home away from home, you have the opportunity to meet new people and build connections with the students, faculty, and administration here at the University. The Residence Hall Councils provide a great connection to get to know the people with whom you live amongst. The General Assembly meetings are also a great way to meet new people. The RHA sometimes invites guest speakers to our General Assembly meetings. Some of those guest speakers can be but are not limited to:
- Parkhurst Dining
- Student Life Administration
- Public Safety
- Barnes and Noble Bookstore
- Duquesne Athletics
- Counseling Center
- and many more!
These guest speakers also will have an specific RHA liaison(s). RHA Liaisons would serve as the primary contact between a certain department or organization and the RHA Executive Vice President in an effort to create partnerships for future collaborations. This is one of the many ways to get involved within the Residence Hall Association and help build partnerships amongst the campus.
