To all of our new students, I warmly welcome you to our Duquesne family! For all returning student residents, I welcome you back to another year on "The Bluff!"
As president of the Duquesne University Residence Hall Association, it is my honor to serve my fellow students through leading an organization dedicated to enhancing campus life. RHA plays a fundamental role in ensuring an unforgettable experience for all students residing in our Living/Learning Centers. Our goal is to foster a stimulating atmosphere on campus that is conducive to Duquesne's academic and philanthropic mission.
RHA aims to promote a sense of community through our frequent events, collaboration with other clubs and organizations, charity fundraisers, and improvements within our Living/Learning Centers. The members of RHA act as liaisons between the residents and the University. Therefore, we encourage every resident to attend our bi-weekly meetings, where we discuss upcoming events and address any issues that arise within the LLC's. Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings and voice their opinions on any topic. This can include dining options, sustainability efforts, residential policies, campus safety, and more.
In addition to our head Executive Board, RHA is composed of seven Hall Councils- one for each LLC. The Hall Councils consist of a President, Vice President, VP of Communications, and VP of Finance. They are elected by peers within their respective LLC. Their responsibilities include planning and executing events for their residents to attend and communicating concerns and opinions to our Executive Board.
We hope to make you proud to call Duquesne your "home away from home!"
