Libermann Luncheons for the Fall Semester
Spiritan Campus Ministry is happy to continue offering the monthly Libermann Luncheons. All luncheons are held in the Africa Room and begin at noon. The dates and a brief description of the fall semester luncheons are as follows:
·Welcome back! Our January Libermann Luncheon is January 17th at Noon in the Africa Room.
We will welcome Fr. Bill Cleary, C.S.Sp., an Irish Spiritan who came to Duquesne in August 2016 as Spiritan Scholar in Residence for one year. Fr. Bill will discuss "A Wider Ecumenism"in anticipation of Christian Unity Week. "A Wider Ecumenism" is about recognizing that as there is one world, so there is one God. This God is revealed in Jesus as wanting all peoples to be united as one human family where all can be at home. Spiritans recognize divisions between Christians as a stumbling block to proclaiming a gospel of universal togetherness. The energy of the great world religions needs to be harnessed to ensure peace among the peoples and care for the one world we all call "home". If you can join us please RSVP by January 13, 2017 to Mary Beth Calorie at firstname.lastname@example.org or x6020. Hope to see you there.
Also, please save the date of January 30th. The Division of Mission and Identity will welcome back Tom White to finish his presentation of October, "A History of Duquesne University". You will be able to respond through the Founder's week RSVP system coming soon!
