Other Campus Involvement: Maria is a Resident Assistant and is involved in many other student organizations, including the Art/History Society, Duquesne University Student Education Association, Kappa Delta Epsilon professional education fraternity, Integrated Honors Society, and Pi Lambda Theta education honors society.

As VP of Communications, Maria is responsible for preparing and distributing informational and promotional media concerning objectives, activities, and accomplishments of the SGA. She works to facilitate correspondence on behalf of and between the Executive Board and the Senate and reports on communicative activities of the SGA and the University at regular Senate meetings. Maria also maintains records of attendance and meeting minutes of the S.G.A.
This year, Maria hopes to encourage membership in SGA and to educate the members about the many possibilities available to the Duquesne community. She also hopes to expand the SGA Suggestion Box initiative to see suggestion boxes installed in all academic buildings. Maria works to improve both internal and external communication and the overall efficiency of the organization.
Maria has had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy, Spain, and Greece, and she plans to continue traveling in the future!
