Be aware of your surroundings.
Let someone know where you are going, your expected arrival time and the route you expect to take to reach your destination.
Introduce yourself to your neighbors and exchange contact information. Participate in neighborhood Block Watches. By creating a close knit community, you can help inform each other of suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
Take part in a crime prevention program offered by the Crime Prevention Unit of Duquesne's Department of Public Safety.
