On April 19th, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion of Duquesne University will host its annual Spirit of Diversity Dinner & Scholarship Benefit in the Charles J. Dougherty Ballroom. This event also introduces faculty, staff, students, and members of the greater Pittsburgh community to some of our nation's leading thinkers on multicultural issues.
What You Should Expect
Over the years some of the most influential thinkers and activists in multicultural conversation, including Dr. Cornel West, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, and Dr. Rich Milner, have served as keynote speakers for events related to our office. This year we welcome Swin Cash, NBA Ambassador for Social Responsibility and 2 Time Olympic Gold Medalist.
The evening will consist of a reception that will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The reception will be followed by an evening program, including dinner, a keynote address by Swin Cash, and a presentation of this years awardees, commencing at 6:00 P.M. Awardees include a select group of Duquesne University students being recognized for their leadership and academic accomplishments, both within and outside of the University.
