Abby Cox, & Eric Quitiquit
Hey! My name is Cam Kehm, and I'm an Entertainment Chair. I'm a junior Finance major/ Legal Studies minor from Pittsburgh, PA. I came to visit Duquesne with limited expectations, but instantly fell in love with it and committed right away. I enjoy fitness, exploring the city, acting, and dancing. I love the feeling of home I found at Duquesne. The people, the school, and the city all combine to form a place I hate to leave and am always anxious to get back to. It's such a big part of me now, and that's what finding your home does for you.
Hi guys! My name is Maddie O'Neill and I am an Entertainment Chair! I am currently a 5th year Pharmacy student and I am from Canonsburg, PA. One fun fact about myself is that I love to watch binge watch Netflix. The reason why I came to Duquesne was because the first time I stepped on campus I felt such a welcoming feeling from those around me and knew right away that this place would be my new home. My advice to you all is to step out of your comfort zone and try something new! I know just like I did, you will also love this amazing campus and all that is has to offer.
Ciao! My name is Abby Marotta, and I'm an Entertainment Chair! I'm a senior Integrated Marketing Communications Major / Business Certificate and a Pittsburgh native! My Duquesne story starts when I met Brad (one of the Burgh Bucks Chairs) in high school. His older sister attended Duquesne. I wanted to go somewhere far away, and to a much bigger school. However, the second that I stepped foot on campus, I knew that I had to come here, and didn't care what needed to happen to make it possible. The admissions staff was so kind to me, and they really made me feel that I was cared about. Although I ended up changing my major after freshmen year, I know that I am where I am supposed to be! I'll be living with a host family in Italy this summer to teach them English, and love to travel! I am a fitness enthusiast, so you can probably find me at the Power Center every morning. I'm at the Power Center daily because I am a foodie! I love trying new food and restaurants around the city. I also love to cook, draw, read, and just hang out with my friends. I am also an Intern for Alumni Relations, and work in the Campus Market, so you can catch me all over campus! I love Duquesne so much because of the support system that I have here. My professors, the staff, and the friends that I've made are so supportive of me, and help me to achieve everything that I want to. I also love that Duquesne students are kind, and have an unspoken code about helping each other. Duquesne students are approachable, and will always hold the door for strangers. There is just something about this place that I can't describe, but I'm sure you will get to know this feeling once you are here!
Hey there! My name is Abby Cox and I am a senior Biology student here at Duquesne University. I am originally from Rochester NY, but I was inclined to come to Duquesne because my brother and sister were students here, and I wanted to be able to share my college experience with them. I was also drawn to Duquesne so that I could receive a great education in scientific research. So, you can always count on finding me working in a chronic pain/neurobiology lab on campus. I enjoy spending my down time listening to Beyoncé or the soundtrack to Hamilton, dancing, or de-stressing with an episode or two of Friends. I love being a Duquesne student because I feel that I am constantly surrounded by kind, loving, and supportive people. There is a wonderful spirit at Duquesne, and I believe that it comes from the sense of community and friendship that fills the campus. I am very happy to be a member of the Duquesne Family, and I could not have asked for a more welcoming place to call my second home.
Hi, my name is Eric Quitiquit, I am a pharmacy major going into my third year. A short summary of myself is that I love all forms of music, being lazy in bed (preferably watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix), trying out new things/going to new places (adventures!), sports or being active (can't be lazy all the time...), and above all else dancing. I have loved to dance ever since I was in middle school and watched America's Best Dance Crew. Ever since then I haven't stopped loving dance and doing it as a hobby. I am an Entertainment Chair for Orientation and cannot wait to fulfill my role in an organization I love. Orientation to me has helped me branch out in ways I could not begin to express in this bio and I hope that I can share that feeling with the rest of you!
