Media & Promotions Chairs

Dan Priore, Julie Jameson, & Brian Marion

Welcome to Duquesne everyone! My name is Dan Priore and I am a first year graduate student majoring in Multiplatform Journalism and Digital Media Arts. I am also one of your Multimedia and Promotions Chairs for Orientation 2017. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, so I know how to get around town and the best places to go in the city. And naturally I'm a huge fan of all our sports teams too along with all other sports leagues. Soon it will be time for you to get your bog on! Orientation is truly one of the best parts of Duquesne, and I am so glad you will be able to experience it soon. There are so many events during the orientation week new students really benefit from and, at the same time, can enjoy and make lasting memories. Duquesne is a tremendous place to learn and grow, and with all it offers and the sense of community here, I felt at home right and knew I didn't want to be anywhere else. I can't wait to see you in August!

Hi! My name is Julie Jameson, and I am a junior here at Duquesne University and a Media and Promotions Chairperson. I am currently majoring in Corporate Communication with a minor in Philosophy and a Certificate in Business Management. I am from a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania called Youngsville. I chose to come to Duquesne because they offered an education that will help me grow as a student and as a person. I also love the city of Pittsburgh, for it is a nice change from my life out in the middle of nowhere. In my free time, I enjoy working on my photography, playing volleyball, listening to music, and bonding with my lovely Orientation Co-Chairs. I spend my summers road tripping across the country via motorhome with my family and exploring the outdoors. My favorite part of Duquesne is the fact that I am able to express myself and be the person that I always knew I could be. Duquesne is a second home to me, and the people I have met are my second family.

Hey guys! My name is Brian Marion, and I'm a Multimedia and Promotions Chair. I'm a junior Sports Marketing major from East Windsor, New Jersey. I was brought to Duquesne by the sense of community. From personal stories told to me by older friends to my experiences while visiting campus, I was surrounded by a group and environment that made me feel like I was part of something more than just myself. A few fun facts about myself are that I am a huge sports fan, and will stay true to my Philadelphia teams, no matter how poorly they play. I grew up playing hockey, and have been skating since I was 3 years old. On the other side of my interests, I am a huge fan of Star Wars and SpongeBob SquarePants. I have many different types of friends and love to hang out and spend time with all of them. One of the things I love about Duquesne is the Spirit. And by Spirit, I don't mean the school spirit that cheers on our athletes in the Palumbo Center or on Rooney Field. I mean the Spirit of Community that is found in the everyday interactions between students. I truly believe there is an unseen Presence that is found at Duquesne that ties our college family together. Hey guys! My name is Brian Marion, and I'm a Multimedia and Promotions Chair.
