Orientation

We are so excited to welcome you into our family and introduce you to your new home! Whether you will be a resident or commuter, a traditional freshman newly out of high school, someone transferring from another institution, or a veteran student, we welcome you with open and arms and wish you success here. Our hope is that you are able to find a place here where you can grow, learn, create a community, and form a family of supporters around you. We encourage you to use orientation as a starting point for your involvement at Duquesne. Enjoy and happy orientation!

When You Arrive

  1. Be sure to head over to the Orientation Tent on Assumption Commons! Here you will pick up your orientation bag, which contains all of the essentials for orientation including your schedule for the week and your new student folder.
  2. Before you move in, you will go to the tent in front of your Living Learning Center where you will pick up your keys, room packet, and lanyard and badge for the week. This is different from the Orientation Tent!
  3. Remind your parents or guardians to take their cars to either the Locust or Forbes Garages where they can park for free that day and throughout the week of orientation. The pass you are given when you pull up to your Living Learning Center will serve as the parking pass for the day!
  4. Take all the time that you need to unpack and get your room organized. Our first event doesn't start until 7:30pm!

If you were not able to make it to the orientation tent, please visit the Office of Orientation in the Student Union, Room 309A sometime on Wednesday, August 16
to pick up your bag!
