Established by August C. Damian, B'55, L'60, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the School of Law who meet the need and/or outstanding merit credentials.

Ronald R. Davenport Endowed Scholarship Fund
Created by Professors Nicholas P. Cafardi and Kellen McClendon, in honor of former Dean of the School of Law, Ronald R. Davenport, this fund is awarded to African American law students who exemplify a commitment to opportunity, diversity and inclusion.

Louis J. DeBone Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established by Louis, P'68, and Kathleen DeBone, this scholarship is awarded to Pharmacy student-athletes in year 5 (PY III) or year 6 (PY IV) and is based on merit and need.

Sonja F. DeGray Endowed Scholarship
Created by Sonja F. DeGray, P'59, this fund is awarded to students in the professional phase of the Doctor of Pharmacy program based on merit and financial need, with a preference given to non-traditional students.

Created by Sylvia DeMarco in memory of her husband, Frank P. DeMarco, this scholarship is awarded based on need and Italian heritage, and can be awarded based on need or an emergency situation.

Established by Mary Ann dePalma and Rockwell International in memory of Robert A. dePalma, this fund is awarded to junior or senior accounting majors with need who are within defined GPA requirements.

Frank & Patsy Deverse Endowed Science Scholarship
Established by Frank T. Deverse, S'63, this fund is awarded to freshmen students enrolled in the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, and is awarded based on need and academic requirements and is renewable if need, merit and science major criteria are met.

Dr. Nunzio V. DiPaolo Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Dr. Nunzio V. DiPaolo by his wife Lena and children Donna, Philip and Vincent, E'73, this fund is awarded to students enrolled in the School of Education. Preference is first given to graduate students meeting the merit and area of study criteria, second preference to undergraduates meeting the need, area of study and merit criteria.

Louis C. DiPaolo Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established by Louis C. DiPaolo, this scholarship is awarded to professional phase students in the School of Pharmacy who meet the need and merit criteria and who are pursuing a career in industrial pharmacy.

Gretchen D. Donaldson Endowed Scholarship
Established by the estate of Gretchen D. Donaldson, this fund is awarded to female students who are enrolled in the School of Law and at the time of their admission are at least 25 years of age.

James V. Donatelli Endowed Scholarship
Established by the estate of James V. Donatelli, this fund is awarded with a preference to incoming freshmen who meet the need, merit and volunteer criteria; a strong preference is given to those graduating from a Catholic high school.  The second preference is for graduate or undergraduate students meeting need, merit and service requirements.  Student to submit letter to Financial Aid Office to request award and verify service.  Preference to those born with surname, Donatelli.

Charles and Sandra Dougherty Family Endowed Scholarship
Created by Charles J. Dougherty, Ph.D. and the Honorable Sandra L. Dougherty, this scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with demonstrated need who have graduated from a Catholic high school. Preference is given to students who are permanent residents of Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania or Nebraska.

Established by Anthony T. Dren, B.S.'59, M.S.'61, and his wife, Catherine M. (Danjanic) Dren, B.Ed.'58, this scholarship is awarded to Tamburitzan students.

Fr. Joseph Duchene Endowed Scholarship
Established by the Brothers of Alpha Epsilon and Alpha Tau Omega, other alumni, family and friends, in honor of Father Joseph Duchene, S.S.Sp., this fund is awarded to full-time students who meet the need and merit requirements, are sons/daughters and extended family members of Alpha Epsilon or Alpha Tau Omega alumni, then ATO brothers, then to a male member of a Duquesne University social fraternity.
Administrator: Director of Financial Aid in consultation with the advisors to the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Fr. Joseph Duchene Emergency Endowed Scholarship
Established by the Brothers of Alpha Epsilon and Alpha Tau Omega, other alumni, family and friends, in honor of Father Joseph Duchene, S.S.Sp., this fund is awarded to full-time students who are current ATO brothers, who have been confronted with a substantiated personal crisis that has caused financial hardship that leaves them unable to meet the financial obligations associated with a college education.
Administrator: Director of Financial Aid in consultation with the advisors to the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Edgar N. Duncan Endowed Scholarship
Established by Edgar N. Duncan, this scholarship is awarded to professional phase students enrolled in the Mylan School of Pharmacy.

Edgar C. Dunn Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Created by Florence G. Dunn, in memory of her husband Edgar C. Dunn, this fund is awarded to Tamburitzan students who meet the merit requirements.

Joan Kip Richardson Dunn Endowed Nursing Scholarship
Established by John A. Dunn in memory of his wife, this scholarship is awarded to undergraduate nursing students who have graduated from a high school within Allegheny County, the City of Pittsburgh or the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Preference is given to those who are graduates of St. Mary of the Mount grade school.

Created by members of the Duquesne Club of New Jersey, this scholarship is given to Tamburitzan students.

Duquesne University School of Law Anniversary Scholarship
In celebration of 75 years of women graduates, Duquesne University School of Law established this scholarship in 1999 in their honor. It is awarded to one School of Law student each year who exhibits outstanding academic and personal credentials and demonstrates the promise of high personal achievement. First preference is given to a female student.  This award is not renewable.
