Saxophone Quartet

The Singlee Saxophone Quartet is made up of School of Music saxophone students. It began as an ensemble in the Fall of 1995. The quartet has played in pre-concert for the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society and it toured in Pennsylvania and New York playing at college campuses and in public schools. The group takes its name from the French composer who wrote what is generally acknowledged to be the first saxophone quartet. The Saxophone Quartet was founded and is coached by James Houlik Professor of Saxophone and Chair of Woodwinds at Duquesne University.
