Dr. Marc W. Harrold, professor of medicinal chemistry in the Mylan School of Pharmacy, has been selected as one of two 2010-11 Teachers of the Year by Duquesne University’s chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the National Leadership Honor Society.

The Teacher of the Year Award is sponsored annually by ODK, which created this event in 1992 to give students the opportunity to recognize a teacher they believe best exemplifies leadership and excellence in the classroom.

Harrold, who was selected from among 130 faculty nominees, teaches courses in biochemistry, biomedical sciences and advanced medicinal chemistry. He is associate editor of the journal Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning.

    He resides in Bethel Park.
