Duquesne University Celebrates Earth Day 2017 With Recycling, Planting Flowers and More

Duquesne University recognizes Earth Day 2017 with Waste is Wack, an event that will be part education, part celebration.

Participants are encouraged to bring used batteries to recycle; plant flowers in front of the Union; make trail mix or bath products; and enjoy music, recycled art, lawn games and raffle prizes.

Evergreen, Duquesne's environmental justice organization, and the Duquesne Program Council are co-sponsoring the event.

When: Friday, April 21, from noon to 6 p.m.

Where: Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Avenue, Pgh, PA 15282.

Information: This event is not open to the public, but the media are invited to attend.
