    Dvořák at Duquesne Explores Composer’s Quintets, Piano Duet

    The third in a four-concert series showcasing the works of Antonin Dvořák, Dvořák at Duquesne: Czech, Please (Quintets) will explore the composer's Piano Quintet in A Major op. 81 and other beloved works.

    The performance will feature From the Bohemian Forest for Piano Duet, op. 68; String Quintet in G Major, op. 77; and Piano Quintet in A Major, op. 81.

    In addition to David Allen Wehr, the Jack W. Geltz Distinguished Piano Chair, other performers include pianist Natasha Snitkovsky, violinists Charles and Rachel Stegeman, and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's Joen Vasquez (assistant principal viola), Marylene Gingras-Roy (viola), Adam Liu (assistant principal cello) and Jeffrey Turner (principal bass).

    Dr. Benjamin Binder, assistant professor of musicianship at the Mary Pappert School, will discuss Dvořák and nationalism in music in a special pre-performance event.
