Designed for new business startups and entrepreneurs, attendees will learn about business structure and formation, insurance, government procurement, financing options, major components of the business plan, taxation requirements and more. Get Behind the Numbers and Increase Your Profits: Understanding Financial Statements Workshop

This hands-on workshop provides a step-by step approach to explaining two important financial statements: profit and loss statement, and balance sheet. A representative from Wilke & Associates will offer clear examples for using these statements to make informed decisions, identify potential problems within a business and set realistic financial goals. Attendees are asked to bring a calculator and a copy of their current financial statements. Sponsored by the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center.
